Questions

Why do reps dispute commission statements?

Usually the underlying CRM data rather than the calculation: wrong owner, inconsistent splits, or an amount that changed after close.

When is a commission tool worth it?

Around fifteen reps, or sooner if plans involve splits, accelerators or multiple products. Below that a spreadsheet with locked inputs is often enough.

Does comp really change behaviour?

Yes, and it beats the operating plan every time they disagree. If the plan needs expansion and comp pays for new logo, expansion loses.

Do you resell any of these?

No. Sapwood takes no vendor commissions and is not a partner of anyone named here.

Want to talk it through?

Leave an email and I will reply myself, usually the same day. No sequence, no newsletter, and no calendar link unless you ask for one.
