Product analytics for go-to-market, not for product.

The events product teams care about are rarely the events that predict a renewal.

Where this ends up

Usage is one signal among several.

Kaypo reads product behaviour alongside replies, meetings and stage movement, so a quiet account with falling usage surfaces before the renewal date.

Questions

Which product events matter for revenue?

The three or four that differ between renewed and churned accounts. Find them by comparing, rather than by asking product which events they care about.

How do we get product usage in front of sales?

Sync the predictive events into the CRM, or use reverse ETL if the events live in a warehouse. Giving reps an analytics login does not work.

Why does usage not predict churn for us?

Usually because the metric is logins or sessions. Depth of use and number of distinct active users are far more predictive.

Do you resell any of these?

No. Sapwood takes no vendor commissions and is not a partner of anyone named here.

Want to talk it through?

Leave an email and I will reply myself, usually the same day. No sequence, no newsletter, and no calendar link unless you ask for one.
