Tool landscape

Conversation intelligence tools, and what to do with the output.

Recording calls is the easy part. Almost nobody connects what was said back to the CRM.

No sequence, no newsletter. One reply from a person.

Got it. You will hear from hello@sapwood.io.

Questions

Which conversation intelligence tool is best?

Gong has the deepest analysis and the widest integrations. Fathom and Fireflies are lighter and cheaper. The right answer depends on whether you need summaries or deal level analysis.

Why do our calls attach to the wrong accounts?

Usually a matching rule using email domain against duplicated account records. It corrupts activity history, so fix the record model alongside the sync.

Nobody watches the recordings. Is it worth it?

The recordings are not the value. Extracted signals are: objections raised, commitments made, who joined the thread. Those should reach the CRM without anyone watching anything.

Should call data affect the forecast?

Yes, and in most stacks it does not. What was said is the earliest indicator available, and it usually stops at the recording.

Want to talk it through?

Leave an email and I will reply myself, usually the same day. No sequence, no newsletter, and no calendar link unless you ask for one.
