What signals tell us an account is ready to buy before they raise their hand?

The reliable ones are behavioural and plural: several people, in a short window, doing specific things.

No sequence, no newsletter. One reply from a person.

Got it. You will hear from hello@sapwood.io.

The short answerOne person reading a blog post is not a signal. Several people from one company touching pricing, docs or a comparison page inside a fortnight is. So is procurement or legal appearing on a thread, a second department joining a call, and a champion asking about implementation. The common factor is plurality and specificity, not volume of activity.

Signals ranked by how reliably they precede a deal

Questions

What signals mean an account is ready to buy?

Procurement or legal joining a thread, several people from one company active in a short window, repeat pricing visits, a second department appearing, and implementation questions.

Is third party intent data enough on its own?

No. It is useful for timing and context but weak without first party behaviour to confirm it. Weight your own site and product signals higher.

How do we know which signals matter for us?

Compare signal presence in the ninety days before closed won against closed lost. Two or three will separate them clearly; the rest are noise.

Want to talk it through?

Leave an email and I will reply myself, usually the same day. No sequence, no newsletter, and no calendar link unless you ask for one.
