Tool landscape

RevOps tools, and the order to buy them in.

Most stacks are bought in the order problems became loud, which is why two tools usually do one job.

What each one is for

The CRMThe foundation. Everything above inherits its record model.Fix this before anything
EnrichmentOne source, writing to fields something downstream reads. Two sources without a waterfall is worse than one
EngagementSequencing and cadence. Only useful once lists are qualified. Not a substitute for targeting
Conversation intelligenceWhat was actually said, extracted back to the record.Highest value per dollar
Deduplication and qualityPrevention at creation, not merging afterwards.Usually bought too late
Reporting and forecastBuilt on definitions, not the other way round.Last, not first
Where this ends up

The layer most stacks are missing is delivery.

Kaypo takes what your tools already produce and puts a ranked list in front of each rep every morning, with the reason attached.

Questions

What tools does a mid market RevOps team need?

A CRM, one enrichment source, one engagement tool, conversation intelligence, deduplication, and a reporting layer built on agreed definitions. Most teams own more than this and use less.

What order should we buy in?

CRM first, because everything inherits its record model. Then enrichment, then delivery. Reporting last, once definitions exist.

How do I tell if two tools do the same job?

List which tools produce a score, a summary or a sequence. Overlap in those three is the most common finding when we read a stack.

Do you resell any of these?

No. Sapwood takes no vendor commissions and is not a partner of anyone named here.

Want to talk it through?

Leave an email and I will reply myself, usually the same day. No sequence, no newsletter, and no calendar link unless you ask for one.
