Choosing a CRM for B2B SaaS, and when to switch.

Most CRM pain is configuration, not platform. Migrating usually moves the problem rather than solving it.

Questions

HubSpot or Salesforce for B2B SaaS?

HubSpot is faster to run without a dedicated admin and has the stronger marketing integration. Salesforce has the higher ceiling and assumes an administrator exists. Below about 100 people HubSpot is usually the lower total cost.

When should we migrate CRM?

When the reason is structural: a data model that cannot represent how you sell, or a merger. Migrating because of configuration debt moves the problem to a new platform.

Why do reps avoid our CRM?

Almost always because entry costs more than it returns. Count required fields and check which report consumes each one.

Is Attio worth considering?

Yes for teams who want to shape the object model themselves and do not need the Salesforce ecosystem. The tradeoff is a smaller integration surface.
